Satellite's Merrick, Coryell, Rockledge's Gordon win 3A state titles
Satellite's Keira Merrick and Celina Coryell and Rockledge's Christopher Gordon won state titles at the Class 3A state track and field championships.
Rockledge, Satellite and Merritt Island competed at the FHSAA Class 3A State Track and Field Championships on Friday, May 8, at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville. Satellite seniors Keira Merrick and Celina Coryell won state titles, Merrick in the 800 and Coryell in the 3200. Merrick clocked in at 2:10.

Satellite sophomore Levi Mumme was the lone boy state qualifier and took home a fifth-place medal in the pole vault. Rockledge senior Christopher Gordon brought home the medal collection, winning the state title in the 400 with a time of 47. 18 seconds.
