Hundreds of crews took part in the 2026 World Pilot Gig Championships [BBC] Rowers from here, there and everywhere went to the Isles of Scilly for a world championships - and a brotherly duo set off for a trip on their bicycles across the globe. Elsewhere, there was a funny discovery at Royal Naval Air Station (RNAS) Culdrose and residents in a Devon village found their local railway station's new fence had a bit of an unexpected design flaw. And traditional parties returned to parts of the region - including a regally named event in Cornwall.
