BCIAA softball playoffs: Hamburg advances with 10-inning win over Twin Valley
Hamburg scored three runs in the top of the 10th inning to beat Twin Valley 11-8 in the BCIAA softball quarterfinals on Friday. The Hawks (15-5) will play top-seeded Wilson on Tuesday at 5 p. m.
at Lyons Field in the semifinals. The championship game is Thursday at 6:30 p. m.
at Lyons. For Hamburg on Friday. Maggie Krall, homered, tripled, doubled and knocked in three runs.
Also, Emma Naugle was 3 for 5, including a double, with two RBIs, and Ella Herbst. was 2 for 5 with a double and two runs scored. For the Raiders, Molly Krick was 2 for 5 with three RBIs.
Wilson defeated Tulpehocken 11-1 on Friday, and Fleetwood defeated Schuylkill Valley 4-3. The Tigers play the winner of today’s game between Kutztown and Exeter in the second game of the semifinals at Lyons on Tuesday.
