A goal-scoring sensation has made a big impression at youth level for Manchester City this season The Manchester City youth system is full of players with the potential to be top players at the highest level. It is hoped that players from City’s academy system can eventually become first team players at City. That is no easy task, and it takes a special player to rise through City’s academy system and break into the first team.
Phil Foden , Nico O’Reilly, James Trafford, and Rico Lewis have all made this leap in recent years. This season, the Manchester City under-18 side has had an exceptionally strong season. One player who has stood out for them is 16-year-old striker Teddie Lamb.
The impressive young striker looks to be a player to watch out for based on his strong displays this season. Teddie Lamb looks to be a player who has all of the instincts to make it at the highest level. Manchester City signed Teddie Lamb from Leyton Orient in March of 2025.
Lamb never made a senior appearance for Leyton Orient, but he was a highly sought after young player. City won the race to sign Lamb, and his performances this season show exactly why they were so eager to sign the young striker. Teddie Lamb has scored 26 goals in 25 appearances for Manchester City’s under-18 side this season.
Those numbers are exceptional. What immediately stands out in Lamb’s game is his goal-scoring instinct. The young striker sniffs out goals and he knows precisely where to be in an opponent’s penalty area.
