Three Takeaways: LSU baseball falls to Georgia in Game 1

LSU baseball took a trip to Athens, Georgia, to take on the No. 1 team in the SEC, the Georgia Bulldogs . The Dawgs entered the game 18-6 in conference play.

That's 2. 5 games better than Texas and Texas A&M. If LSU can pull out some wins in this series, it could help their case for postseason play.

Right now, the Tigers are on the outside looking in. If you love a game with offensive firepower, this was a game for you. LSU and Georgia combined to score 19 runs.

Unfortunately, Georgia ended with 11, and LSU ended with eight. This game went back and forth and was tied heading to the bottom of the seventh inning. The Dawgs scored three in the bottom of the seventh to secure their win.

Here are three takeaways from LSU baseball's Friday night loss. Too many walks LSU pitchers tonight combined for seven walks and 11 strikeouts against Georgia. Seven walks, two wild pitches, and two hit batters will come back to haunt you against a good team.
