🥎Game of the Day The Lincoln softball team started the week with a comeback win. But the Lions ended it with a better one. Lincoln gave up a four-run lead and went to the bottom of the seventh down four and then went to work.

Annika Sampson came up clutch for the second time this week to tie the game and set Brielle Lambert to be the hero, as her RBI single brought home the winning run in a 15-14 win over Cumberland. The Lions flexed their muscle early against their Division I foes, scoring six runs in the first two innings. The Clippers answered back with five in the third, but Lincoln scored three times in the bottom of the fourth to take a 9-5 lead.

It wasn’t big enough. Cumberland went ham in the fifth, scoring six times, then added two more in the sixth to make it 13-9. Lincoln managed to get one run across, but were down to its final out when Chloe Landry got a single that sparked the rally.
