TOPEKA ( KSNT ) – The Jayhawks were shut out by top-seeded Texas Tech in five innings. Kansas (35-19, 15-11 Big 12) falls to Texas Tech 14-0 in the Big 12 Tournament semifinal on Friday. The Red Raiders grabbed an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first from a three-run home run from Jasmyn Burns, and then recorded 11 runs across the fourth and fifth inning to create a large deficit for the ‘Hawks.
Kansas recorded just two hits in the loss. The Jayhawks will find out where they will play in the NCAA Tournament Sunday, May 10 during the selection show. For more sports news, click here .
