New Orleans Saints Sign Most of Their 2026 Draft Class

Yahoo Sports

Deals are done, but not all

The New Orleans Saints have started their rookie mini camp, and with that being the case, it was time for the team to sign their eight draft selections. Some teams my take a bit longer to get some deals done, while other will make it happen right away. Last year, there were some prospects that really took most of the offseason to get signed.

For the Saints, just getting these deals done would be the best case scenario, and today, they were able to sign 7 of their 8 draft picks in the 2026 class. The only player left who has not signed with the team is DT Christen Miller, but this is really not a surprise. Honestly, it would have been more of a shock if he had signed with the team right away.

Second-round picks always tend to take a good amount of time to sign with teams due to contract negotiations. It's a point in the draft where players want similar money to first-round players, but teams want to treat them more like third-round picks. It's an annual occurrence, but again, last year was a crazier version of what this year will be.

Already, some second-round picks have been signed, so it won't take long for the Saints to get this deal done. Eventhough Miller has not signed with the Saints, he was at the rookie minicamp, but not as a participant on the field. Instead, he was involved with watching films, and it was later revealed that this was because of an injury.
