6 49ers draft picks officially sign rookie contracts, 2 still unsigned
The San Francisco 49ers announced six of their eight draft picks have inked rookie deals with the team.
The San Francisco 49ers on Friday officially announced the signings of six members of their eight-player draft class. Those announcements came the day the team's rookie minicamp opened. Draft picks can participate in rookie minicamp without a contract.
The two players who remain unsigned are third-round defensive end Romello Height and defensive tackle Gracen Halton. Here are the six players who did sign their four-year rookie deals: WR De'Zhaun Stribling RB Kaelon Black OL Carver Willis CB Ephesians Prysock LB Jaden Dugger OL Enrique Cruz Jr. Rookie contracts in the NFL are mostly a formality.
There are sometimes quibbles with language of the deals and guarantees, but the contracts are boilerplate four-year deals worth a preset amount of money. None of the 49ers' draft picks were first-round selections which means none of the draft class will receive a fifth-year team option on their rookie pact.
