The Miami Dolphins made a ton of roster moves leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft, with the majority focusing on cutting ties with veterans.

But, for the most part, the Dolphins have been able to fill their roster with talent to replace a lot of those departing veterans. However, as ESPN's Aaron Schatz noted, the Dolphins still haven't resolved their Minkah Fitzpatrick problem after trading him to the New York Jets . "The Dolphins have plenty of positions where there isn't really a hole, per se, just a collection of uninspiring veterans and middle-round picks," Schatz writes.

"The one that stands out the most is safety. " Miami's safety room leaves a lot to be desired, and since the departure of Fitzpatrick, Jon-Eric Sullivan and Jeff Hafley haven't addressed the position well enough. This is still a problem, and one that needs to be resolved this offseason.

Dolphins still have to resolve safety issue after Minkah Fitzpatrick trade Currently slotted into the safety room for Miami this upcoming season are Lonnie Johnson Jr. , Dante Trader Jr. , Jordan Colbert, Zayne Anderson, Michael Taaffe, Louis Moore, and hybrid linebacker/safety rookie Kyle Louis in the fold.
