Brandon Ingram has surgery for heel issue that sidelined him in Raptors' first-round playoff series vs. Cavs

Toronto expects the two-time All-Star forward to be ready for training camp in September.

The ongoing right heel pain that caused Toronto Raptors forward Brandon Ingram to exit a pivotal Game 5 early and sit out Games 6 and 7 of a first-round playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers wound up requiring surgery. Ingram had an operation to removed aa heel spur, the Raptors announced Friday. The two-time All-Star is expected to be ready for training camp in September, per the teamโ€™s release .

When Ingram left the court in Game 5 against the Cavs, the series was tied 2-2. Cleveland won that game and eventually closed things out in Game 7 to advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals. Ingram averaged 21.

5 points, 5. 6 rebounds and 3. 7 assists this season, his first action with the Raptors after they traded for him during the 2024-25 campaign.
