Dodgers Gear Up to Take on NL-Best Braves at Home
The Los Angeles Dodgers will begin their three-game home series against the Atlanta Braves on Friday at 7:10 p. m. PT.
The Braves currently have the best record in the National League—tied with the NL Central’s Chicago Cubs—and are looking to further extend their eight-hame lead atop the NL East on their trip to Los Angeles. The Dodgers are fresh off of their first series win in nearly two weeks, and will look to keep their bats hot against a formidable opponent. LA won two of three games against the Houston Astros on the road during the first series of the week, exploding for eight runs in the first game, then 12 more in the final game of the series.
Andy Pages stood out as a top performer in the rubber match, hitting three homers with a spectacular catch in center field to go with them. The Dodgers and Braves squared off in two three-game series last season, both of which came early in the year. The Dodgers won five of the six games, and will look to continue dominating in the upcoming matchup.
