Falcons host 23 players for tryouts at rookie minicamp
23 players will try out at Falcons rookie minicamp this weekend.
The Atlanta Falcons had a relatively quiet week, but that all changed on Thursday night when they signed 14 undrafted free agents and four out of six members of their 2026 NFL Draft class. The team also invited 23 players to try out during this weekend's rookie minicamp, which starts on Friday, May 8, and ends on Sunday, May 10. In addition to the tryout players and undrafted free agents, three current members of the Falcons' roster -- tight end Josh Simons, cornerback AJ Woods and linebacker Malik Verdon -- will be participating at rookie minicamp.
Plus, two veteran players -- offensive lineman Layden Robinson and defensive tackle Ross Blacklock -- will be trying out as well.
