New Orleans Saints sign 7 of 8 draft picks to their rookie contracts
The New Orleans Saints announced that seven of their eight rookie draft picks have signed their contracts, headlined by first-round WR Jordyn Tyson.
The New Orleans Saints have officially finalized deals for seven of their eight picks in the 2026 NFL Draft just ahead of rookie minicamp on Friday -- including a four-year agreement with first-round selection Jordyn Tyson, who signed a fully-guaranteed contract worth $32. 97 million. The team has now signed all but one draft selections, ensuring that the majority of the rookie class will arrive at minicamp with contracts already finalized.
This means Tyson is under contract along with tight end Oscar Delp, guard Jeremiah Wright, wide receiver Bryce Lance, safety Lorenzo Styles Jr. , wide receiver Barion Brown, and cornerback TJ Hall. As expected, however, there may be a slight delay before second-round pick Christian Miller officially puts pen to paper .
In recent years, negotiations for second-round selections have taken longer as agents push for larger guarantees within rookie deals. Last offseason, both Jayden Higgins of the Houston Texans and Carson Schwesinger of the Cleveland Browns received fully guaranteed deals despite being selected outside the first round -- a trend that could continue to impact negotiations for second-rounders across the league. Even so, itโs still an exciting time for Saints fans, as they get their first real look at the futures of their organization.
