Fantasy Football Video: Can Titans QB Cam Ward take a 'Drake Maye' type lead in Year 2?
Matt Harmon and Scott Pianowski discuss the idea of Cam Ward taking a big step forward in his second NFL season.
It’s not easy for most QBs to break into the NFL and find immediate success. We saw it a few years ago with the Commanders’ Jayden Daniels. But the vast majority of rookie QBs take a bit of time to adjust to the rigors of the league.
It also helps when you are thrust into a good situation, something that wasn’t the case for Titans QB Cam Ward in 2025. Ward struggled out of the gate on a Tennessee squad lacking talent pretty much throughout the roster. But perhaps things will shift in Ward’s second season in the NFL thanks to a busy offseason for the Titans.
[ Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2026 NFL season ] Matt Harmon is joined by Scott Pianowski to discuss Ward’s outlook for Year 2 and if he can take a “Drake Maye” type of leap to stardom — both in real life and fantasy football — on the latest episode of the Yahoo Fantasy Forecast . Pianowski recently ranked all 32 team offenses for fantasy football purposes and the Titans landed dead last, though the analyst is excited to potentially move them up throughout the course of the 2026 NFL season. Pianowski saw a bit of Maye’s rookie season in Ward’s in 2025.
Ward started all 17 games for the Titans last season and went 3-14 — not ideal. He finished as the QB23 in overall fantasy scoring (11. 5 FPPG).
