Khamzat Chimaev and Sean Strickland were drama-free by the time all was said and done at the UFC 328 official weigh-ins.

MORRISTOWN, N. J. – Khamzat Chimaev and Sean Strickland were drama-free – mostly – for the most important part of fight week on Friday.

Both men hit the title-fight limit at UFC 328 official weigh-ins. Former titleholder Strickland also had no issues, weighing in at 185 pounds ahead of his attempt to become a two-division champion. In fact, he was the first fighter to come to the scale during the two-hour official window.

And while Chimaev was 185, as well, ahead of his first middleweight championship defense, he didn't come to the weigh-ins room until about 20 minutes left in the window – and he was far and away the last fighter to step on the scale. That left some uncertainty hanging in the air, given Chimaev had a horrendous 9-pound miss at welterweight once prior to his move to 185 pounds, and was reported to need to cut around 45 pounds for UFC 328 fight week. But both fighters made it, and the path is now clear for Chimaev (15-0 MMA, 9-0 UFC) and Strickland (30-7 MMA, 17-7 UFC) to settle their differences inside the octagon Saturday.

The 185-pound title bout headlines the loaded lineup at Prudential Center in Newark ( Paramount+ ). Check out the video above to see Chimaev and Strickland at UFC 328 official weigh-ins.
