The 37 appearances made by 31-year-old midfielder Evans after he arrived from Wrexham in September was enough to earn him another 12 months with the League One club. Defender Armer, 25, joined on a two-year deal from Carlisle United in the summer of 2024 with a clause to stay for a third season now being taken up by the club.

Burton boss Gary Bowyer, who oversaw another narrow relegation escape this season after guiding the Brewers to safety last term, said "both are valued members of the group". "Jack has been a consistent performer and a player who has taken on more responsibility this year," Bowyer told the club website. "George and his experience has been massive for us this season and he played a huge part in maintaining our League One status.

" New deals for the pair come after six players, including forward Fabio Tavares, were released a day earlier.
