Chad Tracy had good news on Garrett Crochet and Ranger Suarez on Thursday.

Red Sox Get Encouraging Injury Updates On Pair Of Aces originally appeared on NESN . Add NESN as a Preferred Source by clicking here . The Boston Red Sox just got Sonny Gray back from the injured list earlier this week, but they're still without their ace, Garrett Crochet.

Crochet's been on the 15-day injured list since April 26 with left shoulder inflammation . Before Thursday's game against the Tampa Bay Rays, Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy told Alex Speier of The Boston Globe that Crochet is throwing on flat ground at 60 feet as he continues to build back up. While Crochet appears to be trending in the right direction, it sounds like Ranger Suarez is as well.

Suarez left his most recent start on May 3 with right hamstring tightness . The Red Sox are still unsure if Ranger Suarez will make his next start, but Chad Tracy says heโ€™s โ€œprogressing,โ€ - via @alexspeier . Garrett Crochet is also throwing on flat ground at 60 feet, as he continues to build back up.
