Joel Klatt: Oregon Ducks have 'blueprint' to win championship in 2026
The Oregon Ducks have the blueprint to win the 2026 national championship, according to FOX Sports' Joel Klatt.
Going into the 2025 college football season, a lot of people connected to the Oregon Ducks were talking about one thing in particular: just wait for 2026. While the team was expected to be, and ended up being, very good in 2025, making it all the way to the College Football Playoff semifinals behind Dante Moore and a dominant defense, there was always an idea that, should the right players return for another year, 2026 could legitimately be the national championship season that Oregon fans have long been waiting for. I was one of these people, saying that 2025 would be a "set-up year" for the Ducks , giving QB Dante Moore the necessary experience while a young roster cut its teeth.
Now, with veteran players like Moore, A'Mauri Washington, Matayo Uiagalelei, Jamari Johnson, and Teitum Tuioti returning for another season, among many others, the 2026 season carries as high expectations as any in recent memory for the Ducks. It's not just local, either. This past week, Fox Sports' analyst Joel Klatt ranked the Ducks as his No.
1 team in the country, and went as far as to say that they have "the blueprint" necessary to win the championship this season. "Veteran talent, veteran QB ā this is the blueprint right here. " š„ Can @oregonfootball win it all this season?
