Davis Pollack talks Dabo Swinney’s future after another bad season

After being on the Tigers heading into last season, David Pollack is taking a step back in 2026.

During a recent episode of his See Ball Get Ball show, former ESPN analyst and ex-Georgia linebacker David Pollack weighed in on Dabo Swinney and the future of Clemson football. Pollack admitted he was “all in” on Clemson entering last season after predicting the Tigers would win it all in 2025, only to watch the program stumble to a disappointing 7-6 finish. Still, Pollack doesn’t believe Clemson’s struggles are a sign the program is falling apart.

“Listen, I respect Dabo doing it his way,” Pollack said. “I don’t think next year they’re going to bounce back and win 11 games, but I don’t expect them to be near what they were a year ago. I do think they still have a ton of talent on their roster.

” Despite Clemson missing expectations recently, Pollack said he’s still betting on Swinney long term because of everything he’s accomplished. “When you win as much as he has, and when you are the type of leader and the type of man he is, and what you’ve done at Clemson — like, you got two national titles, bro,” Pollack said. “I’m betting on Dabo.

Let’s put it that way. ” Pollack also doesn’t believe Swinney is in danger of losing his job anytime soon. “If he has another season where he wins eight games, nine games — I don’t think he’s going to be fired,” Pollack said.
