Lakeview's Madeleine Thawnghmung is Bronson Battle Creek Athlete of the Week
Madeleine Thawnghmung scored two goals for Lakeview in a win over rival Marshall in girls soccer.
BATTLE CREEK — The fans have spoken. The winner of the latest Bronson Battle Creek/Enquirer Athlete of the Week fan poll is Madeleine Thawnghmung of the Lakeview girls soccer team. Fans got behind Thawnghmung to help her edge finalists Clark Erwin, Ivander McHerron and Angelia Palma.
Thawnghmung received 85 percent of the vote by the 5 p. m. Wednesday deadline.
Thanks to her fans, she is being featured in this Enquirer Athlete of the Week Sunday spotlight. Lakeview stayed undefeated with a 3-1 win over rival Marshall in girls soccer action. After that win, the Spartans were still undefeated on the season at 10-0-3 after getting two goals from Madeleine Thawnghmung.
