With how poorly the New York Mets have played throughout the year, it's very likely that the team is going to be moving on from guys at the trade deadline.
However, in the immediate term, the Mets definitely need guys to just be on the field and do their job. One of them is former Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette, who hasn't been horrendous, but could certainly be playing better. Bichette has a history of being one of the better-hitting infielders in Major League Baseball, and though his defensive problems are definitely prevalent, there's reason to be hopeful about him figuring things out once again.
According to a Mets legend, that's right around the corner. "Good thing to see him go back to shortstop for a few weeks. I think his confidence is going to be even better now," Jose Reyes said of Bichette, per SI .
"Hitting-wise, before Lindor comes back, it's going to be way better. I'm telling you. " Having Bichette back at his natural position will definitely be a good thing.
