The Commanders will hold their annual rookie minicamp this weekend. Here are four rookies to watch.
The Washington Commanders have been back at work for a few weeks, as they opened the offseason program last month. That was for the veterans. On Friday, the rookies will make their debut in the burgundy and gold, as the rookie minicamp gets underway.
That means Washington fans will get their first glimpse of linebacker Sonny Styles in a Commanders uniform. Styles, along with Washington's other five draft picks, nine undrafted free agents and around 20 players in camp on a tryout basis. Rookie minicamp is different than the mandatory minicamp, which will take place next month.
No contact is allowed, so coaches will be limited in their evaluations. It's more of an orientation than an actual practice. While it's difficult to learn anything from the rookie minicamp, there are players that fans want to see.
