Virginia Tech lands 4-star CB over Georgia, Florida State, others
Hokies add a big commitment on Thursday night.

On Thursday night, a surprise for the Hokies, as four-star cornerback Chase Johnson revealed he was committing to Virginia Tech.

Johnson held a reported 30 offers, including ones from Georgia, Auburn, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee and a host of others. Virginia Tech didnโt officially offer Johnson until last month, and heโs scheduled to come to Blacksburg for an official visit on May 29.
Johnson also had official visits lined up with Louisville and Florida State. Johnson will play cornerback or nickel for the Hokies. He is the 10th commitment for Virginia Techโs 2027 recruiting class and is the first defensive back.
