SPRINGFIELD, Mo–It’s a beautiful day for baseball, lets play two. And that’s exactly what the Springfield Cardinals and Corpus Christi Hooks did Thursday. The doubleheader is a makeup for Tuesday night’s game that was rained out.

It’s two, seven inning games. And in our Cardinals Nation update, Springfield has won 12 straight against the Hooks going back to last year. Springfield had former Razorback Mason Molina on the hill.

The right handed pitcher is still in search of his first win this season. He had a strong showing, striking out five Hooks over four-and-a-third innings. Mason did get into trouble in the top of the fourth.
