Eastridge sweeps doubleheader, wins 10th in a row
ROCHESTER, N. Y. (WROC) – Eastridge continued to roll through the beginning of the season, defeating Rush-Henrietta 4-0 in their first game in a four-team tournament.
Emma Johnson opened the scoring for the Lancers in the third inning with an RBI single on a grounder to left field. A couple of batters after her, Johnson took advantage of a wild pitch, stealing home from third base to give Eastridge a 2-0 lead. Into the fourth inning, Eastridge held a 3-0 lead when Tierra-Nicole Green found the outfield to set herself up on first base.
The very next batter, Jalissa Crittenden, ripped a line drive to the wall in left field for an RBI double and a 4-0 Lacers lead. Eastridge was able to hold that lead, in large part due to Crittenden on the mound. The senior finishes with nine strikeouts across seven shutout innings.
In The Lancers’ second game of the day against Honeoye Falls-Lima, Eastridge trailed 4-1 in the first inning, but was able to come back and force extra innings. Tied at five in the bottom of the eighth, Johnson hit a two-run walk-off home run to help Eastridge pick up their 10th win of the season in a 7-5 victory. Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
