Kingsport named as host for NAIA baseball tournament
KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — Visit Kingsport announced on Thursday that the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has selected Kingsport as one of the ten locations in the country for the 2026 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round. “We’re so excited to welcome the NAIA back to Kingsport,” said Bradley Hoover, director of sports for Visit Kingsport.
“This is our 15 th consecutive year serving as a host city for the National Championship Opening Round, and we can’t wait to see which team will advance to the NAIA Baseball World Series. ” Commission approves land sale agreement for new Culver’s restaurant Kingsport will host five of the 46 competing teams from May 11-14 at Hunter Wright Stadium. Single-day tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
Tournament passes are $25 for adults and $12 for students. The five teams that will come to the Model City, according to Visit Kingsport, are: Webber International University (FL) Tennessee Wesleyan (TN) LSU Alexandria (LA) Indiana Wesleyan (IN) William Woods (MO) To see the complete schedule for the opening round, click here .
