Jam Miller rookie fantasy outlook and impact on RB teammates

Yahoo Sports

The Patriots selected Jam Miller late in the NFL draft. What is his 2026 fantasy outlook, and how might his presence impact his RB teammates?

The New England Patriots selected Jam Miller in the seventh round of the NFL draft. What is his realistic 2026 fantasy outlook, and how might his presence impact TreVeyon Henderson and Rhamondre Stevenson? New England doesn’t have a great track record for drafting breakout running backs in the final rounds.

Seventh-rounder Craig James had one great season in 1985, and that’s about it for the past half-century. If Miller is going to be this franchise’s best late-round RB draft pick since 1965’s Jim Nance, a lot of things have to go right -- and many more things have to go wrong around him. The ascending Henderson will get as much as he can handle, and Stevenson will get everything else.

While some might justifiably claim that Stevenson is the 1A or at minimum a strong 1B, his injury and fumbling history make it tough to be bullish. At some point, this will be Henderson’s backfield. Presumably, that will happen in September.

So what if Stevenson gets hurt or is somehow benched? It wouldn’t mean Miller would get touches. This is a Super Bowl-caliber squad.
