Panthers expected to sign free-agent WR next week
The Panthers are expected to sign at least one more undrafted free agent next week.
On Thursday, the Carolina Panthers officially announced the additions of 10 undrafted free agents. But the group may have itself a latecomer. According to team reporter Kassidy Hill, wideout Malick Meiga is expected to arrive in Charlotte next week to sign with the Panthers.
Meiga, a native of Montreal, Canada, split his five-year collegiate career between Penn State (2021 to 2023) and Coastal Carolina (2024 to 2025). Over a combined 51 games, he recorded 35 catches for 432 yards and two touchdowns. The 6-foot-4, 204-pound receiver would be joining the following group of undrafted free-agent signees: QB Haynes King (Georgia Tech) WR Kobe Prentice (Baylor) OL Isaia Glass (Vanderbilt) OL Albert Reese IV (Mississippi State) DL Aaron Hall (Duke) DL Parker Petersen (Wisconsin) EDGE Isaiah Smith (SMU) CB Jaylon Guilbreau (Texas) CB Cam Miller (Rutgers) CB DeVonta Smith (Notre Dame) Carolina also signed six of their seven picks from the 2026 NFL Draft, including first-round offensive tackle Monroe Freeling.
The team's rookie minicamp is set to kick off on Friday morning. Follow @ThePanthersWire on Twitter/X for more Panthers content. This article originally appeared on Panthers Wire: 2026 NFL Draft: Panthers expected to sign free-agent WR Malick Meiga
