Here’s the prize money payout for each golfer at the 2026 LIV Golf Virginia event
The total purse at Trump National in Washington is $30 million with the individual winner taking home $4 million and the winning team splitting $3 million.
LIV Golf, mercifully, has reached the midway point of its season, with the league in Virginia for the third time, the second time at Trump National Golf Club. Big news came a few weeks ago when it was reported that Saudi Arabia’s PIF will not fund LIV Golf after this year. Since then there have been changes to the board, an event in New Orleans has been “postponed” and this week Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau had plenty to say about their respective contracts and future.
But, for now, there is a tournament to play and the usual cast of characters will play for the overall $30 million purse with the individual winner taking home $4 million and the winning team splitting $3 million. Rahm is the individual points leader and has won twice this year and hasn’t finished worse than fifth place in six events. He won in Mexico City two weeks ago by six shots.
DeChambeau and Thomas Detry are second and third in the standings respectively. Joaquin Niemann has won each of LIV Golf’s last two stops in Virginia, last year taking home the prize at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. Elsewhere, LIV Golf’s exemptions into the U.
S. Open will be solidified after this week as the top player not otherwise exempt and in the top three of the LIV Golf standings will take a spot. Detry is in the best spot to take that exemption.
