The season starts this weekend, and it was a bit of a late surprise from the Golden State Valkyries , who waived her on Thursday. Martin's waiver placement means that teams can claim her through that process, which would inherit her current contract. If no team puts in a waiver claim on Martin, she becomes a free agent, able to sign a new deal with whatever team she chooses.
