Yet the midfielder doesn’t sound like a player hankering for a summer move.

In a new interview, Casado has made it clear that he’s thinking about a future at the Camp Nou. “What I’m most excited about is having a very long career and many years at Barça,” he said, per Sport. Casado also spoke about his rise through the youth ranks, acknowledging that he’s had to be patient throughout his career.

“There are different ways to get to the first team. There are players who skip many stages and do well, we are talking about Lamine, Cubarsí, many others. And I have been burning stages little by little, without skipping any, even repeating, I remember, in the Juvenil B,” he added.

“That has been key to being able to reach the first team. It has helped me to learn things in every situation, to keep improving as a player until I get to now. Everything has helped me.
