PFF: Saints picked two of this year's biggest reaches in 2026 draft
Saints rookies Oscar Delp and Barion Brown were two of the worst reaches in the 2026 draft, at least according to the Pro Football Focus big board.
Few teams got faster and more dynamic in the 2026 NFL Draft than the New Orleans Saints , even if they didn't necessarily address big needs at cornerback and edge rusher. Head coach Kellen Moore and quarterback Tyler Shough have an offense full of new weapons to work with. But not everyone is happy with their draft-day haul.
According to the Pro Football Focus big board , the Saints reached on five of their picks in the 2026 draft -- with third-round tight end Oscar Delp and sixth rounder Barion Brown (a wide receiver and returns specialist) among the biggest reaches in the entire draft class. First-round wide receiver Jordyn Tyson, fourth-round guard Jeremiah Wright, and fifth-round safety Lorenzo Styles Jr. were also taken earlier than PFF predicted.
With that said, fourth-round wide receiver Bryce Lance was graded as one of the draft's better steals by going later than anticipated. WR Jordyn Tyson PFF big board ranking: 19 2026 draft slot: 8 From PFF: "Many of the pre-draft questions surrounding Tyson were medical, but he ran 300-plus routes in each of the past two seasons at Arizona State while earning 80. 0-plus PFF receiving grades in both years.
He has impressive separation ability and provides a much-needed complement to Chris Olave in New Orleansโ receiving corps after the Saints traded away Rashid Shaheed. " TE Oscar Delp PFF big board ranking: 215 2026 draft slot: 73 From PFF: "Delp is an intriguing athlete with a high-effort play style that should get him drafted. However, his limited receiving impact and lack of feel in that area project him as a TE3 or TE4 option.
