WNBA star Skylar Diggins and broadcaster Cassidy Hubbarth are launching “ANDMOM”, a new podcast that hopes to rewrite the career-motherhood playbook.

WNBA All-Star and Olympic gold medalist Skylar Diggins and veteran sports broadcaster Cassidy Hubbarth are challenging the perceptions about balancing a career and motherhood. On Thursday, Vox Media and Wavelength announced the launch of "ANDMOM," a new video podcast hosted by Diggins and Hubbarth. The project, which tackles the realities of modern motherhood while creating space for honest and under-discussed stories, debuts on May 14.

Over the course of the podcast, Diggins and Hubbarth speak with a guest lineup from multiple disciplines, such as WNBA Hall of Famer Lisa Leslie , WNBA champion and 10-time All-Star Brittney Griner , Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson and Peloton instructor Ally Love. Diggins is a seven-time WNBA All-Star and Olympic gold medalist, who is entering her 12th season in the league. She most recently signed with the Chicago Sky .

After experiencing severe post-partum depression, Diggins made a personal decision to share more about her story, utilizing her voice and platform to help other women feel less alone and push for systemic change. "It kind of feels like, sometimes, in the real world, personally, it feels like (an) asterisk when you're looking for some of these stories when you talk about motherhood and having a career. And a lot of people don't understand what that takes," Diggins told USA TODAY Sports.

"As a mother, you look for these stories. You look for these spaces to hold these conversations, you know, sometimes that you feel you're alone in, and you have these questions of 'Can I have it all? ' Sometimes we've been conditioned to feel like we can't have our career ― and be successful in our career ― and also be present and good mothers and parents.
