ACC rival trending for key FSU runing back target
The FSU Seminoles are battling several schools for blue-chip running back Gary Walker, but the Clemson Tigers are trending in his recruitment.
The Florida State Seminoles are looking to add a running back to their 2027 recruiting class , and they are in the mix for some of the best prospects in the country. One of their key targets is Gary Walker, a four-star recruit who is from Fairburn, Georgia. Walker has been an FSU target since October of 2025, when they issued him a scholarship offer.
New running backs coach Kam Martin has caused them to become one of his top schools, getting him on campus twice this year. However, another ACC school has emerged as the top school in his recruitment. The Clemson Tigers have received several predictions to land Walker, with On3's Steve Wiltfong doing so on Wednesday.
They now have four predictions in their favor, making him the unquestioned leader. Walker is ranked as the No. 158 overall player and No.
8 running back in the Rivals industry ranking. He is also the No. 17 player from Georgia.
