Jalen Brunson matches Nikola Jokic feat in huge Knicks playoff win
Photo by Al Bello/Getty Images The New York Knicks fell short in the conference finals last season, but their hopes of finally reaching the NBA Finals continue growing stronger with every playoff performance. Wednesday’s 108-102 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers extended New York’s winning streak to five games and reinforced the belief that this squad can genuinely compete for the championship. However, many of those ambitions still depend on Jalen Brunson maintaining his incredible postseason level as the Knicks continue advancing deeper into the playoffs this year.

According to The Lead, that performance allowed the 29-year-old guard to tie Nikola Jokic for the most playoff games with at least 25 points since the beginning of the 2023 postseason. Both stars now own 34 playoff games with 25 or more points during that span, putting them ahead of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jayson Tatum, who each have 30 such performances in the last three years.
Brunson’s 26 points also made him the joint-leading scorer of the game alongside 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey during another statement performance from the Knicks leader. Karl-Anthony Towns joined Patrick Ewing as the only players in the franchise’s playoff history to record at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and five assists while shooting above 75% from the field.
