Red Wings manage just one late run in loss at Syracuse

The Rochester Red Wings managed just one late run in a 3-1 loss to the Syracuse Mets on Wednesday night at NBT Bank Stadium. The series is now tied at a game apiece, with Rochester dropping to 17-18 and Syracuse improving to 19-15. Syracuse starter Jack Wenninger pitched six scoreless innings and the Mets scored three runs early.

Syracuse took the lead in the first inning when Ryan Clifford hit a solo homer. The Mets added another run in the second inning on Hayden Senger’s RBI double and pushed it to 3-0 in the third when Nick Morabito scored on Christian Arroyo’s RBI single.
