Top Iowa basketball recruiting target announces commitment to rival
One of Iowa basketball's top recruiting targets in the 2027 class announced his commitment to a Hawkeye rival instead.
One of Iowa basketball's top targets in the 2027 recruiting class is headed in a different direction. And, unfortunately for Hawkeye fans, its to arch rival Iowa State. Donovan Davis, a 6-foot-7, 200-pound forward out of Freedom High School in Wisconsin, revealed his commitment to the Iowa State Cyclones on Wednesday evening.
Per Cyclone Fanatic , Davis is the second-highest ranked commit in Iowa State basketball history. Per Rivals, Davis is the No. 31 player nationally, the No.
10 small forward and the No. 3 player out of Wisconsin. Davis chose Iowa State over fellow finalists Iowa, Nebraska , Wisconsin and Marquette.
