Paris Saint-Germain players celebrate after the UEFA Champions League semi-final, second leg soccer match between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain at the Allianz Arena. Ulrik Pedersen/ZUMA Press Wire/dpa Isolated incidents of unrest broke out in Paris after Paris Saint-Germain secured a spot in the Champions League final on Wednesday and 127 people were arrested in the metropolitan area. Eleven people were injured, one of them seriously, and 23 law enforcement officers also sustained minor injuries, Franch Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez told the Europe 1 radio station on Thursday.

French media reported that fans gathered to celebrate around the Parc des Princes stadium and on the Champs-Élysées following PSG's 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich. The result was enough to secure a 6-5 win on aggregate. Gatherings on the Champs-Élysées had been previously banned.

As a result, police used tear gas in isolated cases. Last year, violent riots broke out in Paris following PSG's Champions League victory. Perpetrators looted stores, smashed windows, and set cars on fire, but there have been no reports of such scenes this time around.

Back then, 294 people were arrested.
