Wellington freshman Tarrens Catul, a multi-sport athlete, received a football offer from Notre Dame, among others.

High school football is ramping up for spring exhibitions and jamborees, and some athletes are hearing some good news on the recruitment front during the collegiate contact period. Wellington receiver Tarrens Catul, a Class of 2029 prospect, announced he'd received an offer from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish via his personal and the team's Instagram page. Catul, a multi-sport athlete, has quickly garnered collegiate attention despite only being a freshman.

More: Five QB transfers to know for Palm Beach high school football He was by far Wellington's most explosive playmaker on offense last year, accumulating 441 yards receiving and five touchdowns on 20 receptions — noteworthy marks for a team that struggled to a 3-7 record amid coaching and culture changes. In addition to Notre Dame, the young star has been offered by Miami, Texas A&M, USC, California, and Syracuse, setting up his sophomore season as one to watch for those who are late getting to know the Wolverines' receiver.
