It’s too soon for Brian Kelly to come back to Notre Dame

He could wait another decade or two to “return” to Notre Dame, but maybe not now.

BLACKSBURG, VA - OCTOBER 09: Head coach Brian Kelly of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish is interviewed after the game against the Virginia Tech Hokies at Lane Stadium on October 9, 2021 in Blacksburg, Virginia. Let’s go… BRIAN KELLY SHOULD STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM NOTRE DAME When Brian Kelly came back to Notre Dame’s campus for the funeral of Lou Holtz, I scolded those that complained about him being there.

After all — as a Catholic, we are mandated to bury the dead as a corporal work of mercy. Some things are bigger than football — even at Notre Dame (I’m mean, obviously at Notre Dame). Anyways… Brian Kelly says he’s coming back to chat, and that I can’t get down with.

It’s too soon. The drama and the bullshit words are still fresh in the memory of Notre Dame alums and fans, and it’s too soon. Maybe try again in 15 years.
