Midland advances to area championship, riding a 14-game streak
MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The Midland High baseball team is coming off a sweep in the bi-district championship over El Paso Eastwood. The Bulldogs took game one 3-1 and game two 5-1, outscoring the Troopers 8-2. With the win, Midland has now won 14 straight games, advancing to the area championship.
The Bulldogs will take on Southlake Carroll, who is coming off a 2-1 series win over Boswell. The Dragons are currently 13-21 to Midland’s 28-5. It’s another best-of-three series in the area round.
The series schedule is as follows: Game 1: Thursday at 7:00 p. m. at Rocker B Ranch in Graford, Texas Game 2: Friday at 1:00 p.

If the Bulldogs can get past the Dragons, they’ll make their first appearance in the regional semi-finals since 2015.
