Nathan Eovaldi was spectacular against New York Yankees, holding them to three hits in eight innings as Texas Rangers roll.

Watching Nathan Eovaldi pitch a masterpiece on Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium against the New York Yankees had to make Texas Rangers fans smile. Eovaldi went eight innings, only giving up three hits, as the Rangers picked up a 6-1 win. In getting the victory, Eovaldi evens out his season record to 4-4.

Besides giving up just three hits, he allowed only one earned run, walked one, and struck out eight Yankees hitters. As for the Rangers' offense, Corey Seager had a much-needed 2-for-5 night at the plate with a homer. Jake Burger went 2-for-4.

Texas pounded Yankees starter Will Warren, who took the loss and is now 4-1 this season. With two outs in the top of the first, Seager smoked his seventh home run this season over the right-field wall to put Texas up 1-0 early. Then, in the top of the third inning, Ezequiel Duran, who is on a heater right now, smashed a double to left.

Brandon Nimmo scored and the Rangers went up 2-0. Later in the third, Evan Carter connected for a two-run home run and Texas extended its lead to 4-0. That was Carter's fourth home run this season, another bright spot in the Rangers' offense on Wednesday night.
