Texas is expected to hire veteran NFL scout Chris Watts in a player personnel capacity, a source tells @CBSSports .

After working for the Giants, Watts became a regional scout for the Reeseโs Senior Bowl in 2021, taking a role as a general manager in the USSFL after only six months on the Senior Bowl staff to return to scouting in the NFL for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2022, a job he held until March.
Now head coach Steve Sarkisian and general manager Brandon Harris will have a scout with NFL experience in the personnel department to help evaluate high school and transfer portal prospects.
