Manchester City remain in the fight despite dropping points against Everton The dust has now well and truly settled from the pulsating 3-3 draw that Manchester City played out against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday night. Pep Guardiola’s side dropped two points in the title race and have handed the initiative to Arsenal. City now sit five points behind Mikel Arteta’s side on the Premier League table, with a game in hand, and if Arsenal win their remaining three Premier League games, they will be crowned champions.

That is the reality of the situation that City are facing in the title race. However, Pep Guardiola’s side remain in the fight for the Premier League title despite their costly draw against Everton. All Manchester City can do is continue to fight following their setback against Everton.

To have any chance of winning the Premier League title this season, Manchester City simply must win their remaining four games of the season. They also have to rely on Arsenal dropping points against West Ham, Burnley or Fulham. The Arsenal side of the equation is out of Manchester City’s hands.

However, City simply have to pick themselves up following their draw against Everton. Pep Guardiola’s side cannot afford to dwell on the result of Monday night’s match against Everton. Manchester City simply has to continue to fight from this point onward.

They did that against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. When City fell 3-1 behind in the 81st minute to Everton, it seemed that City’s title hopes would end against David Moyes’ side. But Pep Guardiola’s side found a way to salvage a point.
