CLICK HERE TO VOTE Front Office Sports is reporting that May is a candidate for the Orlando Magic head coaching job, and potentially the Golden State Warriors if Steve Kerr doesn’t return.

While many believe that May will stay put at Michigan after winning the national championship this season, it’s worth noting that his new contract isn’t signed yet. “We’ve agreed to the broad terms,” May recently said “I think I signed—we announced at the Michigan State game last year and I‘m signing it in July just because there’s Is to dot and T’s to cross. To me it’s a formality.

When I told him I wasn’t even going to entertain another college job— in my mind, that was essentially signing a contract, and we would get the details worked out based on both parties feeling great about the deal. ” As May said, not signing is a formality — but there weren’t NBA teams knocking at his door yet, either. Could that change the dynamic?

Will May at least interview with an NBA team? It seems like this story won’t be going away until all NBA teams no longer have a head coaching vacancy.
