NFL insider does not expect Aaron Rodgers to play for Cardinals
There has been a lot of buzz regarding the potential that Aaron Rodgers could end up playing for the Cardinals next season.
With no news from Aaron Rodgers in recent weeks about his plans for the 2026 season, there has been some buzz about potential landing spots for the veteran quarterback that don't include a return to Pittsburgh, where he served as the starter last year. One potential landing spot bandied about has been the Arizona Cardinals , and the heat is picking up on those rumors. However, one NFL insider doesn't think fans should put too much stock in the idea of Rodgers leaping the Cardinals.
"No legs to that one," ESPN and NFL Network's NFL insider Ian Rapoport said on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday . "I certainly don't expect, sorry to disappoint everyone. I don't expect him to sign to Arizona.
I expect him, if he's going to play, he's going to play in Pittsburgh. " "I certainly don't expect Aaron Rodgers to sign with Arizona.. If he's going to play I expect it to be for the Pittsburgh Steelers" ~ @RapSheet #PMSLive pic.
