Derek Fisher, the former Lakers point guard and current television analyst, is getting a new platform in Los Angeles. Fisher will team up with catcher-turned-broadcaster Cody Decker as the co-hosts of a morning show on a soon-to-be-launched sports-talk radio channel, “The Fan” 97. 1-FM.

on May 18, and hold down the 6-10 morning commute time slot on the station. While they played different sports professionally, Decker and Fisher have plenty of media experience since retiring. Fisher is currently an analyst on Spectrum SportsNet, the Lakers’ regional network in Southern California.
He’s also worked as a game analyst on NBC since the network obtained NBA rights in 2025. Fisher played in eight NBA Finals (seven with the Lakers, one with the Oklahoma City Thunder) during 18 seasons in the league.
