President to step in for massive Virgil van Dijk transfer is to be at the centre of a massive push this summer. The captain could leave Liverpool. FotoMac reports that Galatasaray are high on signing Virgil van Dijk this summer.
Enough so that their club president will lead the pursuit in an effort to get his dream transfer. Van Dijk will have one year remaining on his deal at the end of this season. The Reds' pursuit of several centre-backs, including the impending arrival of £60m Jeremy Jacquet, brings the Dutchman's future into question for the first time at Liverpool.
He knows full well that his long-term future isn't at Anfield but is this summer the time to make a move? Van Dijk turns 35 this summer and if Galatasaray can give him some guarantees, he may fancy the move. That's certainly what they're hoping.
