For the Houston Texans , the signs point to finding a long-term running back to replace veteran David Montgomery beyond his current contract.
Unlike most prospects, Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy might be a lock to go in the first round based on his production last fall in Oxford. At pick No. 22, that's who Reid has Houston selecting next April.
"Lacy is one of my favorite players to watch on tape in the 2027 class, regardless of position," Reid wrote. "He's a long-striding, slashing runner whose sudden movements give him the A-level short-area quickness to create explosive plays. His 24 rushing touchdowns last season were the third most in SEC history.
